Abstract: The emergence of autofiction is one of the beginnings of a literary form in Africa. The novelistic work of Eugène Ebodé, mixing fiction and autobiographical reality, is perceived as a place of aesthetic uncertainty which is also a space for reflection within postmodern literature. We observe the close relationship between the fiction of history, the deep link between the work and the personality of its author. Writing inscribes these links by drawing, on its own weft, the figure of a storyteller, an inventor or a maker of stories. Ebodé questions the link between individual memory and autofictional writing. The personal myth would result from the voluntary association of ideas under the desired structures of the text, in order to find there the expression of a deep self. Hence this subtle detachment not only between author and narrator, but also between fiction and reality accentuating the depth of the novel. The association of narratological and sociocritical methods for the analysis of spatiotemporality and the marks of the inscription of the social in the texts proves to be necessary. Our object consists in reading this autofiction on a ground favorable to the transgression of taboos, sexual or customary, the intimate opening the way to a writing freed from a constraining social discipline.
